Corrine Nowak, Director of the SIOR Foundation, joined the team in 2010 (she's our longest standing team member!) and loves creating opportunities for the next generation of CRE leaders to learn about and pursue careers in commercial real estate. From favorite foods to her love of movies, Corrine shares a few fun facts and personal favorites. Read on for 10 questions with Corrine.
1. What’s one project or initiative you’re most proud of?
The Student Real Estate Attendee Program. In the past ten years, we have provided over 160 students with the opportunity to network with SIORs, learn from the best, and even secure internships and jobs!
2. How does your work contribute to SIOR’s overall mission?The SIOR Foundation helps SIORs as they strive to be the best in commercial real estate while we also support the next generation in their educational goals and introduce them to SIOR and the elite of CRE. Our ultimate goal is to have them join SIOR or partner with members.
3. Coffee or tea, and how do you take it?
I like my creamer with a little coffee.
4. What’s your dream travel destination and why?
I would love to take a river cruise through Europe.
5. Tell us a surprising or a fun fact about you.
My guilty pleasure movie is the Fifth Element.
6. What’s your role at SIOR, and what does a typical day look like?
I am the SIOR Foundation Director.
Meetings, meetings, and more meetings. No seriously, what I love about my job, aside from the amazing members I get to work with, is that no day is the same. From fundraising to grant management, every day is a new challenge.
7. Are you more of an early bird or night owl?
Night owl, unfortunately 😊
8. If you had to eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Fettuccine Alfredo

...are a small but mighty team. Everyone works together to make sure our members are well taken care of.
10. What is your favorite food?
Cheesecake, but must be authentically New York cheesecake, no fruity toppings!
