From best advice to a love of food, Farhana shares a little about herself in this edition of Meet the HQ Team. Read on for 10 questions with Farhana.
1. What’s your role at SIOR, and what does a typical day look like?
My typical day as an accountant usually starts with reviewing emails, organizing my priorities of the day, recording financial transactions, and making sure transactions are accurate.
2. What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
Lisen to understand not just to reply.
3. How would your coworkers [or friends] describe you in three words?
Nurturing, Emotional and Compassionate.
4. Coffee or tea, and how do you take it?
Coffee. I usually drink black coffee.
5. What’s your dream travel destination and why?
Veniece city in Italy, Europe. Since my childhood, I have dreamed of visiting Venice. The idea of seeing a beautiful city surrounded by waters always fascinated me.
6. Tell us a surprising or a fun fact about you
I love exploring different cultures and trying new foods.
7. What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy week?
Listening to music or watching TV shows and spending time with my family and friends.
8. If you had to eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I am not picky about food, but I love shrimp! If I had to eat one meal for rest of my life, I would happily choose any kind of shrimp dish.
9. What is your favorite season and why?
Fall is my favorite season because of its breathtaking beauty and the soothing comfortable weather.
10. What is your favorite food and why?
My favorite food is shrimp because it’s so versatile and delicious. Whether it’s grilled, fried, in pasta or in curry, I always enjoy it.
I’d also like to mention that Thai cuisine is my favorite.
