October 16, 2015—WASHINGTON, DC — The Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS® recently held its 2015 Fall World Conference in Chicago, IL. More than 900 industry professionals were in attendance, representing 14 countries.
Attendees had the opportunity to participate in excellent educational sessions covering a range of commercial real estate topics. Keynote speakers included: Neil Pasricha, New York Times best-selling author of The Book of Awesome, award-winning blogger, and one of the most popular TED speakers in the world; Prologis speaker and four-time successful tech entrepreneur, Josh Linkner; and Dr. Peter Linneman, real estate expert who was named "One of the 25 Most Influential People in Real Estate," by REALTOR® magazine and was listed in The New York Observer's "100 Most Powerful People in New York Real Estate."
Included in the conference events were stand out networking opportunities: the Panattoni Party, the CenterPoint After Hours Party, IBG Dinner, Young Professional’s Night Out, and the DCT Industrial Bull 'n' Beer Reception and Exhibitor Raffle.
Shortly before the conference, Allen Gump, SIOR, CCIM, Dallas, TX, assumed office as SIOR President, and Geoffrey Kasselman, SIOR, LEED AP, Chicago, IL, became President-Elect, and will assume the presidency in 2016. Del Markward, SIOR, Allentown, PA, took office as SIOR's Vice President.
