One of the many great pleasures during the holiday season is the time it affords us to slow down and reflect, providing perspective on the year and the blessings in our lives – both personally and professionally. In this process, we also have the opportunity to recognize who helped us along the way, evaluate what tomorrow holds, and develop new strategies around it.

Looking back, it is amazing to see how quickly the real estate industry is evolving. Innovation will continue to propel forward those receptive to new ideas. Technology is disrupting and improving how we connect. There is also a rising generation of new professionals entering the CRE landscape. Their optimism and drive are inspiring and will impact our profession in significant ways.

This new wave of tech and emerging leaders presents a unique environment. Anyone seeking to thrive in today’s fast-paced world will be forced to adapt. Not surprisingly, the trendsetters will be decisive, take meaningful action and build a highly creative, nimble leadership team to execute tomorrow’s vision.

I am honored to be a part of a global organization that truly reflects the best in the business – that rare combination of entrepreneurial spirit, integrity, and expertise. With this in mind, I must express my sincerest appreciation to SIOR’s dedicated employees, designees, and our valued corporate partners, whose passion for this industry is unparalleled. It is this collective group of extraordinary people that makes SIOR so unique.

Reflecting on the year, none of the exceptional work that was accomplished would be possible without the clients that continue to place their faith and trust in SIOR members to represent their interests. Commercial real estate is a highly competitive business. Clients entertain offers from various firms, and I am grateful they invest their time with those who hold the leading industry designation – SIOR.

As 2022 comes to a close, there is much to be thankful for, and I could not conclude without recognizing my family and friends whose kindness, love, and support have no limits.

Despite whatever uncertainty might loom around the corner, history has taught us cycles by design are not only temporary – they also create opportunities. I look forward with excitement and a deep sense of appreciation for being a part of this highly respected profession.
