The responses, compiled by SIOR in association with the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), present an accurate depiction of the current industry for the start of 2013. The SIOR Index rose significantly during the summer 2013 quarter, gaining 11.7 points, from 81.7 to 93.4. A balanced market is signified by 100 points—something the U.S. has not experienced since third quarter 2007. The Index has not been in the 90’s since Fourth Quarter 2007.
