Only a year and a half since its development, the Independent Brokerage Group (“IBG”) within SIOR continues to gain strength.

The purpose of the Independent Brokerage Group is to create and sustain a network of highly qualified, independent SIOR brokers across the world to collaborate, share information and enhance business opportunities for its members.

The committee tasked with overseeing IBG is working diligently to raise the overall value proposition for SIOR members through being a resource and developing an environment where best practices, ideas, and top industry trends are shared. With this in mind, there are many exciting things happening this year:

  • Networking Cocktail Reception:  Meet your fellow IBG members at the Spring World Conference reception on Friday, May 3 from 6:15 – 7:15 p.m.
  • SIOR Designee Marketing Toolkit:  The 2013 version is now available on the MySIOR site at Use the toolkit to leverage your designation and market your expertise.
  • IBG Online Community: The highly anticipated IBG forum to share ideas, post discussions, and network online is coming soon.

The SIOR Independent Brokerage Group continues to grow because of the direct involvement in the SIOR organization.
